About CSFD and RnD4U

CSFD.cz is popular website for movie fans and enthusiasts, one of the most visited movie websites in Central Europe. You can find professional and fan reviews from the western part of the planet as well as discussions about films, series, movie stars and anything we love about movies. CSFD organize various events, movie shows and discussions for fans.

RnD4U.com is unconventional, foreign invested company, R&D Studio of IT professionals with record at the US technology startups such as Systinet, Mercury Interactive, as well as longer job history at large corporations such as Hewlett-Packard and DHL. Nowadays we help to build new startups such as Pricefx, Trip.market, InfluxData and Bonitoo.

What should you have to succeed?

Excellent knowledge of PHP and some framework (Symfony, Laravel, – we use Nette)
Good knowledge of PostgreSQL, writing triggers and procedures
Good knowledge of JavaScript (especially for front-end)
Knowledge, that there are technologies like Redis, Elasticsearch and RabbitMQ
Excellent logical thinking ability, good problem solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
Active approach and a will to learn and adapt to new technologies.
English communication skills both written and spoken.

What will you do (except classic PHP programming)

Create APIs, solve tasks like converting videos, planning ads, recommending movies, …
Think about application distributed on multiple servers, optimize HTTP requests, SQL queries for working with tens of millions rows…
You will be in a team with experienced colleagues from whom you can learn a lot and who will be open to your ideas
You will learn how to test the code at all levels

Elasticsearch for fulltext searching
RabbitMQ for message processing
we’re also open to new technologies
